Well logged on today at 7:30 every other morning, and it's been about half an hour an hour and I still haven't got a ping. Is this usual? Does this happen to other people?

And another issue that keeps re-occur after a update that I did just this morning when I woke up my stupid partner app still doesn't put me online although it says that I'm online . So with me trying to fix that took about 15 minutes of my time . JUST NOT HAPPY

Hi Australian Uber Guy, yes indeed it was slow. You can turn on the passenger app where you will see the closest 8 available Uber cars to your location. if there are lots near by you probably will not get pinged. I always start from home so I can do things around the house while waiting for the first ping. Do join us for lunch at the Chinese restaurant upstairs at the Hellenic Club, Woden on Thursdays at 12 where you can discuss and learn about things Uber.

It is the Gingsen Restaurant. We sit near the entrance and there are UBER signs on the table. Usually there are a couple of wives as well. The meal costs $10.50 and afterwards we have a coffee in the lounge. It is all very civilised. Parking is free. Bring your parking ticket in with you and validate it as you leave in order to open the boom gate. Sometimes there are three of us and sometimes we need a larger table. I look forward to meeting you.

Australian Uber Guy, there's a cluster of flights that arrive at the airport between 7.45 am and 8.30 am: see https://www.canberraairport.com.au/travellers/flight-information/arrivals/.

This can be a good place to start your day on the quieter days as you will typically get other trips off the back of your first trip.

An earlier start than 7.30 am will typically gain you early morning trips (5.00 am onwards) to the airport.

The car servicing and repair areas in Fyshwick, Phillip and Belconnen can also be productive of early morning rides.
