Accept it and let the pax cancel. As soon as they see a 24 minute wait they are gonna cancel. But you have to accept the ride first or you lose the bonus. Then the bonus stays with you to attach to next ping since pax cancelled.
I've also called pax and asked them how far they are going and said to then it's a business decision not to pick them up since I'll lose money and the drive to get them and distance is too far and short drop off. I ask them to cancel to try to find a closer driver and the bonus stays sticky since they cancel until hopefully a closer Rider pings up for them soon.
I know some don't agree but I'm am not Uber or Lyft and I'm not in the business of driving 24 mins to take someone 6 mins away to lose money. I saved myself several money losing trips this weekend by being proactive and calling pax to get final destination then asking them to cancel to try to find a closer driver. They also didn't seem to mind once I explained I'll lose money to pick them up so it better they get a closer driver.
