Hello. I know many of you had similar or worse experiences, but this could be something new even hilarious.
I completed 100 trip $1250 guarantee bonus promotion on July 19, 2021. My payment didn't come for over 2 weeks. So, I contacted Uber Support more than 13 times, spent over 3 hours to get answers.

Here you go!
I asked why my payment is not coming.
1st answer - There was no such promotion.
2nd answer - You didn't complete the trip.
3rd answer - Your payment should be coming on next pay period.
4th answer - You didn't finish the trip.
5th answer - Your account is blocked, and money is gone.
6th answer - Block has been removed.
7th answer - Your account is blocked, and we are reviewing it.
8th answer - will update
9th answer - will update

In between, I received several other emails saying duplicate answers (they just copy & paste).
Also, some phone calls. One lady just hung up on me as she got nothing to say.
I sent messages asking why my account is blocked. One said that automated system did it, another said that because you violated policy, another said that I don't know.

Basically, Uber waited till I completed 100 trips. Then, blocked my account without any reason, without informed me.
This looks like they are doing it just not to pay drivers.
Please see attached copy of emails for proof.

Gee it's looking like Uber support reps all have names that line up with living in India. I want a better life for people but Uber is purposely outsourcing to India just to pay less it's disgusting. There are no more IT specialists or customer service left in the USA. I got my network plus certificate, my security + certificate and network pc pro and I haven't even got a call back for an interview. So I have to keep driving for these stu-nods.

You are looking on the wrong places or you got a record . Plenty of work for you, if you are really looking. UBER support are not it guys. I think UBER are just a bunch of servers.

I live in Las Vegas there are no IT jobs here and I have never been arrested in my life. I look everyday for my family and I and there is nothing in IT. If you don't know someone or have a connection your not going to get an IT job in Vegas. I've spent thousands on college and certificates and I'm like all of you ridesharing and doing odd jobs. If you say there's so many IT jobs please be my guest and tell me where lol? Please tell me a job that pays over 20 an hour lmao. There's none. You need to have a connection these days. We are also the highest unemployment again in the country for a reason

And this folks, is how Uber lures clueless ants into thinking they are making a BONUS on top of their earnings, just to realize at the end that was a GUARANTEE.
By the way, you did 100 trips and you got a little over $600?
Damn thats BAD!

Hahaha yup exactly. Guys I stopped ridesharing during the pandemic. Uber and lyft wouldn't even give me a protective shield and they had the nerve to say to me on the phone if you don't feel safe buy your own. I said I would never drive from that moment on.

Supply and demand. There is more demand for drivers than IT/Customer Service support lines. There is zero reason to hire people in America for this work if someone outside of America can do the job just as well for less money. Your best bet as an IT professional is to do work that requires you to be in the field and visiting places to set up hardware and software rather than just remote software support for which you hold zero advantage over some guy in India except maybe less of an accent when speaking English, which most customers won't pay more for.

The reason we as drivers are paid so well (compared to support reps in India or the Phillipines anyways) is that you cannot outsource drivers. Drivers have to be local, and even if you import them they have to be able to afford local standards of living within a few hours drive of the city.

The biggest problem with customer service at Uber is not that it is outsourced. The biggest problem is that the support team has their hands tied and cannot do anything to actually help you as a driver. They are instructed mainly to just repeat to you whatever the app already told you, which is usually completely unhelpful. They might as well take their customer service phone line one level further and just eliminate it since effectively their customer support is already just robots who can only repeat the canned messages the app already sends you.

"I see sir, that the reason your document is rejected is because it is missing information." "What information is missing?" "I can't see that, all I can see is that it is missing information, try resending the document again and make sure all the fields are filled out. Thank you for being a Diamond Driver." Good thing we have a support team that cannot tell us anything we didn't already know.

According to you, you were offered a $1250 guarantee, not a $1250 match. Please work on your reading comprehension skills.
Thanks man. I fixed it. I'm a Uber Delivery driver, didn't really need reading comprehension skills. Anyway, you understood what I was trying to say. Have a good day.
(Edit) Another smart guy said that "reading comprehension" is fine as you (reader) interpreted the writing correctly. You suppose to tell me to work on "composition". Just letting you know because what this other guy saying seem right.

Wow, that is some crazy blatant theft.

I'm assuming you didn't opt out of arbitration so worst case, I would file an arbitration claim against them and add extra claims for the time spent to fight this.
