No it's not.. They expect parents to home school their kids, with attendance and grades taken, regardless of if parents are both still working or not. There has been NOTHING done statewide or local to address households with two parents who are still working through this. So... are my kids going to fail out of school unless one of us quit working and we can't pay our bills? Oh... they can't do anything NOW if we don't pay the bills... but as soon as this is over, what about the THOUSANDS that would be owed if we didn't? They think 'connectivity' is the only thing holding people back from this... Yeah... we have freaking internet and computers at the house... but what keeps those powered, and a house at all, are two full time working parents... who are both considered essential right now. Nice to know SOME kids will have opportunities... not the ones who are raised by people working their freaking asses off right now.

The politicians and bureaucrats responsible don't need to leave their homes to do their jobs, having time then to educate their children.

Pretty much. It is a weird thing that some people are essentially just trucking along totally unscathed, other than not being able to hit the bar! All the Amazon programmers are just chillin' typing away on their couch cashing those $10K a month checks still, while others are completely hosed.

This is another indicator that government isn't the best choice to educate our kids.
All five of my children were educated in the public school system. They all went to college and got good paying jobs or the equivalent. They all own their homes, and seem happily married and successful in their lives. As parents we placed importance on scholastic achievement and managed as best we could their teachers and classes.

There is nothing really wrong with the public school system. The issues are in misuse by students and their parents.

The government should never have been allowed near a class room to begin with. All they've done is indoctrinate children into a socialist progressive stupor.
But that is not what is really happening you just think that. I was pretty immersed in our school district and very involved in my children academic programs. I coached in several schools during that 20 + years of my life. While that phase is a decade in the rear view mirror now, there was no overt or otherwise political leanings being taught. I still live in that community and I as I run into these young adults I think they get their political leanings from their parents and personal upbringing.
