I added in a screenshot of the time of 6:36 so you can see it matches up

The difference is $30.06 - $20.14 = $9.92. I wonder what the Airport fee and Uber Safety fee are for Uber XL?

I think the safe rider fee is the same for x and xl at 2.00 and the airport fee is 3.25

Ok. Let's see: $30.06 - 20.14 - $3.25 - $2.00 = $4.67

What happened to the $4.67? Maybe Danimal can contact Uber and ask.

I'm following this topic with interest because I have suspected this is happening for a while but I had no proof. This seems to be proof.

The tough part about this is that if Uber responds with a "technical problem" response, there is no way to validate. And it could be repeated a million more times without being caught.

But would it not make sense that the fare to the customer was quoted based on a less than efficient path, but the driver took a more efficient path. The bidding server calculated the path one way and the driver's navigation calculated another way. Uber keeps the difference.

I agree with you. Your description makes sense from a layman's point of view. But what would be the legality of charging the passenger for a less efficient route?

Companies like Uber are routinely audited by State regulators and these are the kinds of things that raise flags during an audit. If this is happening there is a chance for a Class Action lawsuit that the lawyers take on a no win no fee basis.
