Airport pickups in Sydney..UberX

So far I haven't bothered. One guy told me he waited two hours for a booking to come through. I assumed their would be build up demand for UberX services at Sydney airport.

Can anyone give some real life experiences? Not hearsay.

One thing I've experienced when waiting at or near the airport, is quite a few ping, cancel, ping, cancel, ping, cancel, from the same passenger.
One day I'll actually drive to the pickup address and see who's there.
Anyone else get these?
