A few days ago, I went to renew my auto insurance and sign waivers for unlimited PIP as my life as a gig worker really not justified or afford the extra premium. I even did not ask how much it'll cost if I want the unlimited PIP.

Then, I verified I was wrongfully convicted of [failed to yield] to ghost behind my car when
I was doing 33 mph at post speed limit of 35 mph. My agent's screen shows the conviction probably from state's database of my driving conviction records.

My moods turned dark, very dark now as a voluntary charity worker for corporate Americas. I must be declare a complete a loser or failure to live a gig life in America with piling traffic convictions.

Last Friday night around 11 PM, I was heading east and got a ping for a store I just past a few seconds ago, so I immediately moved to the most inside lane looking for a way to make my way back to the store.

Found a left turn lane as the sign says Left lane must turn left, I gladly slowed down and made a Michigan left turn or U-turn, so smoothly, I was feeling great my beater OR1G, acquired from the Oak Ridge research lab is till going strong at 240k miles on the Odometer after being Ubered and Lyfted on it before I was Permanently Deactivated.

There was no traffic on the west bound lanes and when I was trying to speed up to the posted speed limit of 45 mph, I notice the ugly blue and red lights flashing in the dark in rear view mirror. What's was going on????

I managed moved to the right lane and stopped right there, I don't care my life and the car flashing the lights any more. According to the law, I must stop at place I found safe and satisfy the authority's demand to stop rather than anger the people that try to stop you for whatever reason.

I waited in my car hopelessly and feeling so sad. Why am I doing this to get this kind of treatment in the place I call my home town or my home city?

Wasn't it a good way to do charity work for the corporate Americas and people in the community that can and/or can't afford tip(s) to the essential service?

A female came to my right side windows and knock on it, want me open window for her, I can't reach over to the right side to crank down the window as this is the very basic version of Corolla when Fed bought it for research. The woman was not pleased. I waived at her and signal her to come to the driver side to talk. I can't remember what she said or did and just remembered she just want her demands fulfilled, she want driver license, registration and proof of insurance.( I sense it was bad when cop stops you, failed to greet you as citizen under their protection and simply says "Your driver license, registration and proof of insurance" when one got stopped.)

I knew it's bad from my past experience interacted with the strangers dressed in black that flash the red and blue lights. I 'm senior citizen now that has started doing ride-sharing as we call it today from 50+ years ago, shuffling paxs including American GI's on the R&R trips or holidays during the Vietnam war.

I know it's bad. she doesn't want to answer my questions and simply said her charge to me was [disobey stop sign] without any attempt to stop. I was totally puzzled as I did not see any stop signs or even a traffic light before I made and completed the turn.

What's my defense? I may not have to quit ubering, lyfting or dashing as my driving privilege will be suspended after this wave of onslaught of wrongful or false accusations of traffic violations by the good or bad girls and boys in my Home Town.

I need genuine advice on how to deal this last false or wrongful accusation.

Not seeing a damaged sign in dark is a good ground for defense? Did the woman really see a stop sign or she imagined there was a stop sign in the path I just travelled?

Actually, after the woman stopped my car, there were two other males shown up, one asked "what's your name?" The other said "stay in your car" when I tried to find the stop sign they say I disobeyed?

When I was stopped by this woman, I remebered I did not see any stop sign(s) or Red Stop lights. I have same reaction, I have no idea what she was talking about.

A moment later when I turned my head around 2nd times, two males shown up and so eager to help their supervisor.

One asked what's your name? I replied, It doesn't matter, just use the name on the driver's license. He said the woman was his supervisor, supposed to be more mature or experienced and knowledgeable. but I can't tell that from her demeanor.

The younger and more slim male would not let me get out car to see if there was a stop sign I missed. So I stayed in car hopelessly waiting they do their sop. I told these cops i need to cancel my pickup at the nearby restaurant because of their irrational stop. They shows no emotion like it was someone's meal, not my business.

How sad to be a small independent businesswoman or man with a license to be fined or charged or dragged into to courts without justification of common sense.

Yeah this is a case of dash camera being the only way of saving your ass. If you have a forward facing camera I'd reveiw the video and then bring it to court on a laptop/tablet to present to the judge for evidence of not running a stop sign.

I put a lot of time and effort in trying to understand this guy and his writing style a year ago, trying to help him with what he claimed was unfair treatment by law enforcement. Sorry, I’m not going to get sucked into it this time.😵‍💫 Look under his avatar in in January of 2022.

Is Michigan really like this lol? We recently visited Colorado. Lovely place, but what was cracked was the large signs for their aggressive driver hotline. Like, I’d just like to know what exactly they intend to do lmao.

Thank for your time and effort on last issue. I was too late to receive the video under the Foia. It was after the formal hearing I finally received the police in car video. One thing stands out is the young rookie officer did not show up at the formal hearing, but he did show up in the informal hearing earlier and I was expecting to get some truth out from him in the formal hearing.

This bother me a lot as I can't get any thing out from the older guy that kept saying he saw everything, but would not tell what he actually saw at the intersection. He said speed or speeding is not an issue. Then what is?

One day, I ran into the rookie patrolling on foot in the shopping mall, I was so glad to be able to see him in person out of court. I kept asking why he did not show up on the court hearing date? Was it intentional or he was sick on that day.
I then asked did he remember the case and ask who initiate the pursuit? Was his idea or Tim? He said it was his own idea. That confirms my suspicion the older guy did not see everything as he had claimed. In the taped video, I sense the older man's voice or tone is shaky and only kept saying contact the court, talk to the court while I was anxious to know what I did wrong to warrant the pullover.

I did not want to complain their behavior as I know policing is dangerous job and I do sympathize they put their lives on risk everyday they report to work.
I do not understand is why they insist on putting false accusation on me, my business and business partner(s) in a bad way?
Why they tried to ruin my reputation to have this false accusation and wrongful records in the official records that will deny my participation in any lawful business opportunity?

If only thing they want is money, why not just say so and I will donate some to their favored charities.

Then about a week ago, I heard from another officer the rookie was not with the PD anymore. I hope my inquiry of his missing on the court hearing was not the sole cause for his leaving. He appeared to be a promising young kid to me, I kind like his minority status.

I pray you have a dash cam. The cops will probably make up that you were at a different intersection that had a stop sign.

Otherwise: Their word against yours. You lose, sorry.
Last conviction, I did not get the police video until the conviction was handed down by the judge that was pending to be removed from Oakland County Circuit Court, through a (what I'd call) a mock trial or (rubber stamping or Kangaroo) court. The court did not have the rules of court or did not not follow the court rules as we know. It was complete havoc as she started by saying how about we start you defendant, doing Pro Se, by question the witness before any charge of who did what wrong at when and how was read or announced.

This time, I waste no time calling PD and court and started collect evidence of what the people of city did and knew about the sign before I was dragged into this nonsense.

I stand to lose my business license to do transportation or delivery service, probably due to the egregious traffic law enforcement by the untrained, unprofessional conduct of the individual(s) dressed in government or tax-payer provided uniforms.

Hire an attorney. Even if they can't get it dismissed completely they might get the court to reduce the charge to a non-moving violation, so you can get reactivated.

The problem is there's no one I know is good in this field. Maybe it's some rideshare co's revenge, they desparately want to convert the drivers to be rider(s)?

Initially, I was so upset and angry with myself, Why I accept this low ball offer to get myself into this mess?

Now a few days later, My blood pressure probably comes down a little bit and I can start to read the ticket.

It cited as [Disobey Stop Sign] at or near an intersection Civic and BB road.

I drove back there to see if there is a stop sign I missed. There are two STOP signs there.
Cloud Sky Plant Building Infrastructure

I don't know which stop sign I disobeyed as accused, as I had not been at anyplace on the Civic Center Dr. that night at the time I was stopped, certainly I could not obey what I couldn't see.

Did the woman see a ghost that night or she screwed up the ticket and made it defective with the assistance of two more males subordinates?

Yeah are you actually representing yourself? A couple years ago I got a trumped up speeding charge where the state trooper tacked on 15 mph using rolling not laser to get me up where you can’t take a safety course or contest it. His bullshit was brazen so I hired a real Better Call Saul character for a couple hundy what the hell and he got me down to 90 days probation at least. Ever since then I don’t trifle with these matters. Even right now the city’s busting my balls for a broken fence I just finally got repaired (difficult unique design) and then I got back from Colorado with my plate covered in dirt and pulled over right away causing a conflict on that case. My attorney decided to refer me to an even better attorney, versed on municipal matters. Networking! Anyway, the only way to do things in my book. If you keep it off your record that’s what really matters, nevermind going along with these jerks little revenue generating schemes, which I just feel lucky to at least live somewhere that doesn’t enable them too much.

All the lawyers I know of are millionaires with practice limited to a few special fields.

No one I know take trivial cases like this at local district courts level.

The one criminal defense attorney would assist for free in the past is retired now and no more website and no phone listed. So I was going out to find a new one. The first one wants $5000 retainer fee and wants to bill by hour. I'm afraid I'd go bankrupt before the court date.
