UPDATE 3: Based on your suggestions we now have an referral program in place that will pay you $5.25 for each MotorMood your passengers buy. Send me a PM if you're interested in trying it out
UPDATE 2: Over 77 units have gone out to drivers in the Los Angeles area! Thank you all so much for your overwhelming interest and support!
UPDATE 1: If you would like us to mail you a free unit please PM me your mailing address and email! Thanks!
Hey everyone!
Our startup MotorMood is working on a pilot program to give Los Angeles Uber drivers our product for free for use in their cars. We're planning on launching in Santa Monica this March.
The product allows cars to say thanks on the road using a remote controlled light-up emoticon face (see gif below).
The remote attaches to your sun visor (like a garage door opener), and the face attaches to the inside of your car's window using non-marking adhesive clips. Everything is wireless, and battery powered.
It's purpose is to say thanks to other drivers on the road when it's dark and you can't see a friendly hand wave. Use cases include when someone lets you into their lane, when someone behind you turns off their brights, or when someone politely lets you know the light in front you turned green
Could also be a fun way for Uber drivers to differentiate themselves, and serve as a conversation starter with passengers.
I have some questions for everyone:
-Jesse

I have some questions for everyone:
- Is this something you think you or other Uber drivers would like to use?
- Do you think Uber corporate would have any issues with its use?
- Would you want a small inventory to give out as freebies to passengers you think would like it?
- What are some good ways to reach a lot of Uber drivers with our product?
