We're a group of 4 and are arranging a ride home after a concert next Saturday (7/23). We're weighing booking a taxi or other similar ride, since we figured Uber may be impossible to come by as the show ends. I know they have not yet started advance reservations in DC area, but is there is an advisable Uber procedure for Merriweather shows that could avoid a long wait or surge? Thanks so much.

Walk outside and push the button. If it surges it surges....if you want to avoid the surge either wait an hour and a half or if money is a problem, buy less shit at the show so you can pay for your ride. If you pick pool and have 4 people....expect a longer wait even if uber drivers show up because you've basically bent them over. Remember, uber drivers are driving THEIR vehicles to transport your asses. You think they want to pay for you to be transported?
Option 2: get a taxi and pay even more...
Option 3: stick out your thumbs hippy. Maybe a VW van with flowers n' shit (Maybe even organic shit, literally, garden grown and stuck their ass out the window to crap because they couldn't miss the Phish tour) will pick you up and you can form a big Ole happy Manson family.
