I'm using an iPhone 7 and Google Maps.

Whenever a passenger adds a new destination, Google Maps never works normally after that. I hear the audio instructions in my Blue Tooth, and the actual map works normally, but no text instructions are shown where they usually appear at the top--only the final destination. Does anyone else have this problem? Am I doing something wrong?

I'm on Android using GM. When a pax updates the destination, I get the chime from the Driver App, then I go back to the Driver App, and hit Navigate. GM updates to the new destination.

Thanks DocT, but I don't get that. My app defaults to GM, but if I hit navigate, Waze opens up.

It seems to me that GM should automatically continue functioning normally to the new destination.

And speaking of Waze, once in a while during a trip I like to switch to Waze just to check my route, but when I go back to GM, Waze stays open, and I have both audio instructions in my ears, sometimes telling me to go different ways. Why doesn't Waze turn off when I go back to GM?

If you hit Navigate and it opens Waze, then you have the Driver App set to Wave not GM. If you are in Google Maps and the Pax updates the Uber App, how is GM supposed to know that?

The only way for it to know a change is made is to hit Navigate from the Uber App which updates the Navigation. Go into your settings and make sure GM is your default navigation app within the Uber App.

Well thanks Steve, that's helpful, but I'm still a bit puzzled. You're right that Waze was my default, but then why, when I'm pinged and accept, does GM automatically kick in, without my having to press "Navigate" and start giving me directions to the pick up, and then after I start the ride, to the destination. And if Waze was my default system, why doesn't it open?

Besides, I didn't say GM doesn't work at all. I said the audio worked and the map shows the route and changes in the usual way, but only the instructions and arrows at the top indicating whether to go straight or turn don't work.

So to reiterate. Waze, which was my default system, does nothing when I accept a ride and start a trip. Meanwhile, GM, which was not the default

1, automatically navigates me to my pick up
2, automatically navigates me to my destination
3, doesn't work properly when a new destination is added
