Austin City Limits is coming up soon and I've had passengers tell me they know drivers in the dfw area that will go to Austin for the weekend just to drive.

I am just SUPER curious if anyone does that and how the experience was? I don't think it's something I'd do-- I stay away from Arlington during games as I hate being grid locked in a parking lot or street.

But I'd love to hear you other uber drivers experience on it

(Btw I checked their website and Austin ride share is their "official" ride share choice.)

Honey ...the only thing you "drive" is a really unimaginative, juvenile ad "campaign! Granted, your target audience "works" for scrUber...but really!?

Dude.. wtf does scrUber even mean? I have no target audience. Don't be jelly jus cause ya want some of this tall drank of water. Fine I'll update the picture for your viewing fancy =P

That's was harsh...
Austin is gridlock. But if you have a place to stay. It might be fun to hang out.
So if one was just pondering going down there to drive.. not worth it?

"just to drive..." not a good idea. hotels are booked and expensive if you can find one. the gas, food and paying for a place to stay will cost more that you will make. You will have to make al least $250 a day just to break even.

Fun city though...If you just want to go hang out, and have a good time. But don't go down there thinking you are going to make a lot of money.

Austin as with all cities in Texas is oversaturated. It's a traffic nightmare. I live not far from Austin, I know the city well and I avoid it like the plague.

Let the money stay with the local drivers. It's a chance for them to make some money so let them.

If you are already going there for ACL, sure. Otherwise, NOPE. A lot, & I mean A LOT of houston/san antonio drivers will be flooding {pun very intended} Austin during ACL.
