Been doing that for AGES now.... Driving towards a surge while online and the 'surge' window gets smaller as you get closer to it.

Its a joke! I've even noticed lately I have a feeling even if 'offline' but the partner app is open, it factors you in as it knows your 'sitting' and waiting...... Just a feeling as I've seen the surge window shrink on the angle I've came in when OFFLINE!

I scored a 1.4 to brunswick, then a stacked job that took me FAR FAR AWAY, so missed all the action!!!

Got back and picked up a 1.2x and few other jobs.

Basically topped off my crap morning with a crap evening.

I'm not sure why I bother most days now to even go out.

never ever ever drive towords the surge if u r in the midst stay but never drive coz by the time u get there the surge is gone...or sign of the when u r in the surge area sign in....

Shit night. I thought the rain would make it rain... instead surge lasted from 5 to 630 in city and crappy 5 min surges all night. Can make more money on a wednesday night! Uni holidays i thought kids would be partyn hard

They were partying hard. You just didn't stay out long enough. There were surges most of the night except once you get out of the surge area it is hard to get back in. I did pick up a 2.8 surge trip for $39 though. It wasn't quite your weekend numbers, but they were there.

Problem with weeknights is while you may get a long trip from the CBD to Ringwood you won't get anything back so you lose 30% of your profits

Most of my weekend trips are Ringwood to City. Last time a few weeks ago on a 2.6 surge got like $95 but even that is getting harder.
Most surges are short trips
