Yep, me too. They must be training a new alogrithm because I'm like 2-3 hour drive away from them.
Like really Uber, I'm going to travel 4-5 hours for $26. Rolls eyes.
Edit: They upped the ante, $116 and this time it was in my county, however it was 2 hours away or 4.5 hours of deadheading, plus morning rush hour traffic. I passed. It is creeping closer though, but not by much. Never seen Reserve in my county yet. They are playing with it

Ever since they sent out that addendum stating canceled reservations over an hour from pickup time would result in a $0.00 payout, I didn't consent to it and I stopped getting reservations. And rightfully so. F 'em. Riders don't respect driver's time and play games using Uber, they can shaft all else for all I care.
it's been nonstop flooding of reservation requests this past week, far far higher numbers than I've ever seen. they must be promoting it differently and/or word has gotten out that 3am-5am airport trips are surged like crazy (with the driver seeing typically 40-45% of it)
at any given time there's a minimum of 10 reservations to pick from, sometimes well over 20. at this exact minute I see 15 and that list will cycle and maintain around that number, reservations being taken by other drivers, some not accepted within the time window, and new reservations coming in

I think they are training a new alogrithm. Throwing out the widest net possible until it learns what drivers won't accept.
makes no sense. where are they getting all these rides from, they are not making up all these rides out of thin air

They're real, I did one even though it was 3 hours away, I just so happened to be going there anyway.
Really hard getting an Uber during the middle of the night. Most first flights out is at 7 am.
