Went against the norm, picked up a 4.4 rider. It was 2:30am figured ill do this last one. Picked him up at an apartment, headed towards the destination which he put in, in advance. Half way there he says he is just picking something up and asked me to wait. I said are we heading back to the pickup location, he stated no you can drop me at the gas station down the street. At this point I'm uncomfortable. Once we arrived he guides me to the tennis courts, which are dark and secluded. He calls someone says I'm here, tells me he'll be right back. Once he disappeared I ended the trip and took off.

Screw that, I'm no drug mule. Emailed Lyft about it. Dude Obviously rated me a 1. Waiting to hear back from support, want to get that rating removed and that dude deactivated. Yes he'll probably create another account but I know his address now if he happens to come up again.

Update: After two emails to Lyft about this issue and no response I have lost my faith in their system. It is just Uber for me from now on. If they do not care enough about their drivers being at risk I do not care to drive for them.

To be fare you're going off speculation about what he was doing. The fact is you don't know so demanding someone be deactivated because of the illegal thing you assume their doing is silly. And on Lyft's system if you rate the 3 or lower they won't match you with them again sooo what's the issue?

Come on D Town, you and I both know what the dude was doing. I left with no issues the next driver may not be as lucky. The signs were there. I am thinking of me and the next guy, he was rated a 1 (by me) and I will never be paired with him again but that means someone else may pick him up. If I put him on the radar maybe it will be hard for him to setup alternate accounts.

Um, no. with Uber even if you give a pax 1 star it does not prevent you from getting them again...

Yeah, great idea! Stick with uber. Uber care about its drivers a lot. If this incident happened on uber platform, you'd probably be matched with the same guy the next time he needs supplies.

In over 600 rides with Uber I have never encountered a situation like I did with Lyft. Could it happen?, possibly but it hasn't yet.
