A secret about Himalayan pink salt

Google searches state it was formed about 200 million years ago, which may not be correct. But it could be a billion year ago before life existed. Before that, the oceans were full of dissolved iron. Oxygen didn't freely exist. Later bacteria evolved creating free oxygens possibly from the break down of water molecules. The free oxygen oxidated all the iron in the ocean. Iron traces in the Himalayan salt are pure, not oxidised, and from ancient sea beds. Therefore it may be from the time when life didn't exist.

The information about irons in the see before life, I heard it from a tv program long ago.

Quote: “Iron – 38.9 ppm trace of Iron is responsible for the exclusive orange-pink color of Himalayan salt. This pink shade is one of the main distinctive features of Himalayan salt.”

its a fad

doesn't taste much different from sea salt.

They do however make nice lamps. I bought one at a market in Kuwait and shipped it to my parents. The shipping cost more than the lamp did.

This was before the crazy started.
