So I had a passenger today. Seemed like a nice girl had good conversation the ride was on a 40% primetime so I wasn't stressed.
On the way we talked careers childhoods. Then she said whenever she uses her company Lyft account she tips $20 so that was a nice thing to hear.
So after I dropped her off I figured she would follow through on her promise. So I did what I never do I gave her a five star rating.
She had also mentioned that she had another appointment an hour later so I expected the tip within the hour.
But three hours later $0. So I did what my good grace didn't let me before.

So suck on this you ****.

Dont be so bitter. Get used to it.
Not bitter, just giving karma a little nudge.
If her rating gets bad only old Korean men and thirsty unqualified drivers will take her ride request. So my joy of an eye for an eye continues into many many bad ride experience for her. And ultimately having her switch to another rideshare. Then Lyft loses. So I win again. Not bitter at all. Lol

Lift support is fantastic and prompt. Keep your head up, bro; it's not all bad.

It's my form of protest. I also comment. "Stop wasting my time and money (lyft)
Protesting what? We all know Uber/Lyft have issues but we still choose to drive. It's not the PAX fault.
So you're saying a PAX can be on the curb waiting for you to be picked up, very polite throughout the ride, thanks you at the end and closes the door without slamming it you give them a 4 * or less? Sorry dude that is messed up.

A good rule of thumb to follow when doing rideshare is that everything a pax says is probably a lie.
Say what?

You mean that 22 year old hottie I drove last night was lying when she said she wanted to marry me, support me by working two jobs, and have my baby?

Son of a...!

Now I'm depressed.

:D

See this is my point exactly. Ratings are a none factor for drivers and passengers. It's a bad system to begin with. But people still care. I don't get it.
And yes 90% of passengers don't tip most are the minimum fare riders. I'm sorry if you're paying $5.50 for a ride you on some level have to ask yourself how much is the driver taking home?! Most passengers are surprised when I tell them it's a free ride on my end. But I'm sorry if you're that stupid or ignorant than why would any driver give an ounce of ****? I don't drive anymore because it's a waste of time. But what about all the professional drivers who had their lively hoods torn out from under them with a sub par replacement. I'm all for change and innovation. But not if it's not sustainable.

Shoulda coulda woulda. I know her kind. Image driven. She must maintain a good rating. So this would hurt her more than that $20 would of benefited me I.e. Karma.
you're such a putzy driver. you never give 5 stars even if the passenger is normal?

you're crying because you didn't get a tip you were promised with the ole "I'll tip you on the app" scam? that's happened to every one of us.

readkbg your story sucked because it's two minutes of my time I'll never get back.

get a life dude. seriously.

Some companies expense a percentage for a tip on travel duties and others outright don't allow expensing of tips. But what she is saying is ridiculous, no company generally would allow a 20 dollar tip on anything less than a 70-75 dollar fare for car service.
This is very common for business travelers to be honest. A lot of the time they will expense their ride on a company card and hand me cash.
