My grandparents came from scotland when they were babies and met at Harper High school in so. chicago (englewood?) then they moved to kansas, had my mom and then i was born. Now im living in Chicago in the neighborhood where my grandpa was a baby in...cool story

I was born in chicago. I am from chicago. This is my home. I am a native Chicagoan. Chicago is a city in America. So... wouldn't that make me a Native American? Wouldn't really matter where my parents are from because MY native place of origin is in Chicago.

My wife has a business and employs two immigrants. They took today off work because, "a day without immigrants".....

.. Saturday is payday. They will find out that it is now, "a day without the boss."

My dad's ancestry came from Germany before world war 1, but I guess it became patriotic to have German prejudices during and after world war 2. Thanks a lot President FDR, President Truman & President Eisenhower! At least German-Americans didn't have to go into internment camps like the Japanese-Americans. Now that was a crazy time in American history.
