The airports are a GREAT place to catch up on your sleep, to review your life, or to hide from your wife. They are not a good place to have a steady good day of earnings.

Saturdays always suck at the airports. Most flyers are met by family/friends, very little biz travel.

Multiply the IAH queue timer by 1.5x. Multiply Hobby timer by 3x. Thats about average for weekdays. I too don't do weekends there.

One of these dayz like to meet, shake hands with some of the regular posters here while waiting at lot, put a face with name. Not sure how that can be arranged though.... Most times I dont even wait at lot, when I do, am usually napping.

Everytime I think I understand how to read the que timer uber changes it and it doesn't make sense.... dropped off at the top at hobby got a stack ping for pick at zone 4.... Zero wait

I had a drop off at HOU on Thursday. FInished the trip and the queue said I had a 20+ minutes wait. I got a ping before I could hit the airport exit. Ended up picking up a PAX going to IAH. The wait there said 30-50 minutes, and I had a trip in 30 minutes. It was a first for me after waiting over 2 hours last weekend for a trip that ended up being 6 miles.

The airports are messed up. Some people are dropping off and getting pinged right away. I was at Bush yesterday. When I arrived it said min 12 min, but ended up waiting an hour and a half. Spoke with a lady that said she is leaving, because her app has said 0-10min for the last 30min. The counter sometimes goes the wrong way, guess certain people are coming to the airport and pushing me to the back of the line. While I was waiting under the tree for shade. A guy showed up and I asked him what his time said. He said its off because he needs a break. I told him its a long wait. He said when he goes online he gets pinged right away. Sure enough, as soon as he finished his cigarette, he went online and got pinged right away.
The first week we had the timer countdown it was pretty accurate for me. Not sure if that hack they had the other week has anything to do with this. Also wondering if this means our confidential information is compromised.

Algorithm sux. Sometimes space time get messed up. What seems like an hour and a half is only thirty minutes in reality. I now claim the name ubertime which is when a two hour wait is only thirty minutes to uber.

I heard drivers at the airports are using a fake gps app to lock their phone location, so they go out and complete trips while their location is still locked at the airport.

don't get how that would work.... Phone would be at airport uber pay off of gps

There have been people in the past that have jailbroken their iPhones, Then been able to go in and put there location anywhere they want. So after a ride from Bush to Galleria, they could immediately put their location back at the Bush TNC lot, while they drive back. But that was at least a year ago. There maybe apps out there that allow this without jailbraking a phone, And doesn't explain how the time clock goes backwards, and people being offline, and immediately getting a request at the airport when they go online.
People are going online and going to the front instead of the back of the line like fifo should work. And its happening for the same people. So these people are deadheading back to the airports because they dont wait at all. While the rest of us wait. As more and more people find out it just makes it worse.

When I roll into the tnc lot, I just do 100 requests from 100 different Uber accounts. Then cancel them all. The tnc lot empties, and I get pinged.

Doesn't everyone do this?
