Somebody actually gave me 4 stars or less for being a Trump supporter. AND commented as such per my Gryft feedback email today. Funny thing is, I'm not so much a Trump supporter as I am/was a Hillary hater. She would have been devastating to the working man/woman in this country.

The woman who gave this rating drank the Obama/Clinton Kool-Aid too. I swear she'd have eaten the corn out of Obama's sh!t.

Ahh so you don't like Clinton,

Solution: Let them bring up politics and from there determine what side of the fence they are on. If your side, go for the "You're my brah, tip me" conversation. If not, figure out a way to say nothing, or something very confusing, like "I'm for whoever achieves world peace"

If pax' conversation moves on to Trump, just ask them how his policies compare with Grover Cleveland's approach. Loyalty to fiscal conservatism without an allegiance to protectionism, and the effects this had on the economy and public opinion. Ask them which is better, and why.

I tend to keep to the old saying of don't discuss politics, religion, or money.

If riders bring those topics up I do my best to keep my mouth shut and just let them talk. If they insist on a response I keep it as neutral as possible without betraying my ethics.

I tend to stick to comments like, "I believe in our constitution and our rights as citizens."

On money topics I am a little more lenient with specifics like if they want to know how much commission apps take or discuss the cost of housing in the area. I have had many new Sacramento implants ask me about the costs and areas and neighborhoods they may want to consider depending on what they are looking for.

My car, my gas, my miles I discuss whatever the fukk I want.
Not a wise attitude in a service industry, in my opinion.

I'm not saying kiss their ass or let them disrespect you, just show them the same respect you deserve.

However, I grew up with parents owning their own successful small business who taught me first hand what good customer service was without losing self-respect, dignity, or violating your own ethics.

I don't tell people unless they bring it up. And when they do, I lay it down. Facts don't care about your feelings.

Don't want to start a rift between us, but what we got is leaps and bounds better than Clinton.
No reason for a rift, we are adults and can disagree like adults. Nothing is black and white.

Trump has (surprisingly) done some good things that I agree with he's not all bad. I just don't like him lying or the big, make that YUUGE, tax breaks he's giving the corporations and rich people.

Every dollar they don't pay, you and I wind up paying.

My comment did not reveal my position on current politics one way or another. Yet it seems as though you are getting aggressive and gearing up for a fight with an "opponent/enemy."

I was not trying to disrespect you or shove anyone else's opinion or point of view on you. I was simply saying, in my opinion, discussing politics with riders is not a wise thing to do. It is such an inflammatory topic, especially when people don't agree, it can sour the vibe of the ride and therefore your rating and/or tip(s).

Btw, I have not seen you post a single "fact," they have all been more your opinion. A fact would be banana skins are yellow, etcetera.

You seem to want to get into nitty gritty discussion of politics on a regular basis and instigate debates or arguments with those who do not agree with you. That is your right as an American. I just suggest you do so on a more appropriate forum. This board is not meant for political debate. :)

I think that dude was referring to on a ride rather than in this particular setting of The Forum.
