That's pretty much explain why I get bombarded with pool rides, when I am around alewife. Now if I drop someone there I just turn off my app and head toward Harvard square .

I live near there. Most of the rides are decent. The problem is that it lies just outside of the boost zone so you can drive 5 minutes away, even in traffic, and get a boost ride with ease

Alewife's just 2 minutes from me and get pinged all the time but I ignore all of them during rush hours. The rotary and bridge are traffic nightmare. If its NOT a pool request and later in evening, I might accept as sometimes they're easy longish fares up Route 2.

Why doesn't Uber just run a shuttle bus for UberPool riders from Alewife?
