Ok lets take a look at the Uber-licious post. In my opinion I think it's pure non-sense. I say to Uber-Licious prove it. Screen shots of your earnings are not proof enough for me. Screenshots can be photoshopped. Even if your screenshot is accurate your post is very misleading at best because you didn't say how many hours of work it took you to make that money. For this reason I think if you really would like to contribute to this board in an honorable way you should give us all a step by step explanation of your daily routine and all the locations you went to and the times you went there to pull all these fares. A couple of airports and a US open run from the Jersey shore doesn't add up to $3869 in 2 weeks.

Why am I skeptical? Lets take this by the numbers. We all know high booking weeks are possible but your back to back sustained success over 14 consecutive days is like hitting the lotto. Lets consider the average UberX driver was booking approximately $25-$30 an hour in gross fares during the busiest weeks of the summer. Considering those days are over and all the bennies left town I would guess it's now around $22-$17 an hour post summer.

Let say you booked on the high end at $22 an hour. Divided that into $3869 and it would take approximately 176 hours work over 2 weeks to hit $3869. Divide those 176 hours by 2 weeks and that means you averaged working 88 hours each week and a total of $1935 a each week gross. Is it possible to work 88 hours a 1 week - working a full 7 day period when there is 168 total hours in a week?? It is. Is it like you worked this many hours? NO. But if you worked all these hours you should have at least mentioned this small detail in your initial post not to mislead the newbies. You did not mention anything about hours worked which I find Odd?? Did you omit this little fact on purpose?

Listen up. You know and I know Most UberX drivers are making less than MINIMUM WAGE after you factor in the IRS .58 cents car expense/depreciation which most people forget to do until they sell their car.

Whenever someone comes on here bragging about how much money they made they should back it up. I personally think there are several people from the Uber offices that troll this site and pose as UberX drivers. I think their motivation is to indirectly pump up the drivers into working more hours and diverting them to the areas they need more coverage in. I also think they do it because after the rate drops people complaining and other are wising up and working less and less hours. I think it's getting harder and harder for Uber to get more drivers on board. Hence the job fairs Uber does. Just think. If were that easy to get and retain Uber drivers there would be no need for job fairs or the constant advertising on craigslist and signing bonuses and incentives and guarantees for new drivers. etc etc. Also if drivers were that easy to get you would not see "drivers wanted" signs on every taxi. Drivers are not as easy to get as people on here think. This is why Uber is fighting the regulations. With proper background and drug testing and then add the cost for permits and the licensing that taxi drivers pay and it would cut Ubers driver enrollment in half. I like Uber and love the fact I can work when I want but I also feel everyone should KEEP IT REAL.

I agreed that it is possible to make that amount, but the hours have to be close to your estimate of around 80hrs a week, I myself made $940 net last week with35 hrs, so the total gross was around $1200, tolls were around $300, that is $640net and 3 full tanks that took $70, now I'm at $580, divide by 35hrs and I made $16.57p/h, not bad for a gig, but I do uberx after my regular job and according to the gov I should get paid o/t for these hours, which means that I should be making $37 p/h instead of $16.

I don't need to "prove it" nor would I waste my time altering a screen shot for the purpose of posting it here. FYI, I uploaded those jpg's from my iphone, so any editing was impossible anyway

Granted I did work alot of hours, but for me it was worth it.

btw, this is from last weeks Driver Summary provided by Uber. The only edits I made are removing my name from the rider comment section.

So you were working 14-15hrs a day, so you got a total of 100hrs on 1 week and how about the second week, let's just say that you put 100hrs more, $3869 gross minus 20% uberx cut, then that brings you to $3095 minus tolls and gas (?) divided by 200hrs then you have around $15p/h, I do hope that my math is wrong and you made this amount in 1 week, didn't pay any tolls and your car is electric otherwise you are working for minimum wage without o/t pay.
Edit: and the treats haven't been factored in, again I do hope that you made this in 1 week and the title was an error.

Joe Capola is another new alias to Uberpeople.Net who seems to know whats best for us. In reality, either Joe is a troll or a limo/taxi company owner who is pissed that his company has gone to shit. His last recourse is to come on here to troll the forum. HAHA! Has it really come down to that? From big time limo company owner to message forum troll??? Really?

Uberlicious is clearly working very hard as evidenced by the above. Keep in mind that was online for 100 hours!!! Thats over 4 days straight!!! So what he is doing is very realistic, but you have to put in a lot of time. No one said pimping would be easy.

What the usual trolls to Uberpeople.net, who might be disgruntled limo/taxi owners, that most of us here are hard up for cash. Its a simple fact. We have mouths to feed, rent to pay and mortgages to pay. Yes, some of us will go online for 100 hours straight to feed our kids. Its not an easy world, but sometimes this is what you have to do to pay the mortgage. Good jobs are NOT easy to find in Jersey.

Keep it up Joe Capola and XUberX berating us. The fact is we have mouths to feed and dont give a shit about your opinion.

Your math is wrong. Hrs online aren't hours driving, I work 5 or 6 days. A lot of those online hours are time spent at my house, not in the car

nobody is berating anybody, if the op would've posted how many hrs he put in to make this amount, then people wouldn't be questioning his credibility.

He DID post screen shots of his account earlier in other threads. It should be a given when you see someone making like 2 grand in a week that they probably were working 7 days a week, 10+ hours per day.

I dont paint Uber as a rosy picture but one of hard work and stress. The money is there if you want to do it.

I consider hrs online as working hrs, because is not like I can go and party while the app is on, otherwise what's the point of going online if you are not ready to pick up a fare.

There are a few people on this website who are in disbelief over someone else's numbers, but keep in mind the numbers you see are as a result of hard work. You dont get paid for posting messages on an internet forum.

You dont move to Los Angeles to make money as the average Joe. In SoCal every day is a nice day. Its a place to go to see the scenery, but if you are focused on making cash move to another place that is more business oriented with higher salaries.

Most people from out of state HATE New Jersey and thats for obvious reasons. There is a lot of things to put up with. As an Uber driver, Ive been pulled over 5-6 times, ticketed, put up with Heroin passengers, drunk off their mind passengers, rudeness, etc. You MUST have a thick skin to live here and there are 4 seasons. In general, people are just not that nice here.

Thats Northern NJ. The NJ Shore rates are higher...like 2 per mile. While the shore towns like Seaside Heights are now abandoned, there still is Atlantic City, but thats all short fares. There is always CT which is 1.50 a mile and NYC which is over 2 per mile.

i'm not going to move from my home to go drive for uber lmao. in any event, new jersey drivers make more than la drivers. you make $1.10 per mile. $5 min trip. we make $1.00 per mile $4.00 min trip. our min trip = $2.40 lol.
And your gas price is 4 dollar and 2 dollar in jersey, so wtf you still driving, GTFO look for a job

Many NYC drivers make at least 2000 per week. If you put in 100 hours per week in NYC you will make over 3000. Thats why Im getting the NYC TLC license.

I saw it myself right in the Newark Airport cellphone lot. Verified it off his phone. 2600 per week from doing Midtown and Meatpacking district.

The problem is no one wants to work the 100 hours. They just want to be handed the 3000 without any work. The moment you tell them what you have to do to get it...not interested.
