This guy made 344k just in overtime plus his 117 k base salary while the city trying to convince everyone that congestion toll money will help build better mta service, well I see where the money is going now lol
so this clown retired... the agency could not tell us how many hours he worked or what his overtime rate was...fare hike and worst time performance in history...makes sense...i mean makes sense that this corrupt bloated agency would pay a GED educated idiot more than a physician generally makes...wow i picked the wrong career tract too...

If OT is "time and a half" how you get more than double what you make in OT?...lol
That's honestly my question when I saw the numbers as well. Something isn't adding up to only be overtime pay, because this man would of had to been pulling over some serious hours of over time. His hourly rate is $56.25 based on 2080 hours of work per year. So OT rates are $84.38. Meaning he was working over 70 hrs+ ON TOP of his normal working hours. Some serious non-human like endurance for a full year.

A lot of missing information in this article.

Anyone taking the correction exam next month? I hear over time is almost mandatory.
Corrections officer? I don't think going from Uber driver to corrections officer is an upgrade, more like a very unfortunate series of events that lead you to an even worse position in quality of life on the job.

I think we've had 2 or 3 people here become MTA bus drivers though

MTA bus driver is chump change. That's like going school safety agent. Everyone knows you're only in there for the benefits. Law enforcement or corrections you have the opportunity rank up and be chilling by x amount of years and you retire with nothing to worry about.
