Declined alot too. With the surges being unpredictable to most since they're fake surges. Alot of PAX went to popular places to stage

Came to DTLA and got 15 pings in a span of 3-5 minutes and none were surges rides.. how can it be so busy and no surge.

It's a sucky time for PAX and drivers. Since the unknown surges are happening I can only imagine how high can some go,5X?? Hope there are some riders that had a good day. Dont be shy to post those unicorns

When I used to drive Select/X and X was surging high and rider b and moans about the surged pricing...i used to tell them ...
"idk if you ride with both U/L but usually when Uber is f high like rn(even if its only like mid 2's)sympathize with the rider and pretend like its super high...LYFT is almost all the time way cheaper than uBer".
(Im sure i turned out a lot of dumb uber riders to cheap lyft riders) LOLLL
If they say they use both, like they already check which app is cheaper atm.
I then tell them how the surge would disappear if they wait it out a bit.
And again I try to sympathize with them..n say my same line...
"yea...whenever i am driving i love surge but whenever i am a rider im usually the last person to leave the area because i wait until the surge is gone"

Never! Those double parking ******bags get nothing from me. They try double teaming me saying my spot belongs to them. The looks on their faces when i tell em "youre momma". Hilarious!

May be that surge is suppressed due to an abundant supply of drivers, given that most of those posting on here about the deadly dangers of coronavirus, are actively looking to contract it by keeping to driving.

What is the surge multiplier and service fees % on that trip? The payout looks like a 4.0x with Uber taking 1% service fees. ... around the same to your pickup time, my driver app showed 2.1x around the same area...
Not questioning your trip income but trying to figure out if some of us see different surge multiplier on our screen
I wonder if Uber trying something similar to Lyft PPZ or that's glitch on the app
When it falls below 70 degrees there's usually no surge in that area. It's too cold to come out or people leave early. Hollywood is the place to go if you want surge at 2am

The app is just really glitchy even the apps that show uber surges don't work properly. This is just one example last night. Also have noticed really strange surge patterns this couple days where the surge drops from for example 1.9 to 1.2 in less than a minute after it just went to 1.9. Seems like they are messing around with the surge but not sure their end goal is maybe like you said they are trying something like Lyft ppz.🤷♂

I don't have X...lowest i can go is COMFORT...
I did few of them on Thursday bar rush...
The first one was a 3.7x
And the second one was 3.6x
If anyone can tell me the exact amounts of both trips ill venmo you 10$ 😆
