Around 2:30 a.m. I select a trip didn't know it was a schedule trip it's for 3:00 a.m. I'm on route to it I get a message telling me to cancel, I tell them they need to cancel, we go back and forth for a while I decided to go ahead and drive there, I just waiting for the time to run out and cancel even had a nice place where I could hide.

Probably not to him but maybe he will learn his lesson about scheduling trips anyway.....

If they can get em to do that as they keep all the money and it kills off our surges anyway

Should have seen the location, it was one of those low-end trailer parts and I mean trailers not mobile homes, there's like a 6-ft wall right next to where he lived and I can park right next to it, no way he could walk outside and get to me before I canceled unless he actually drove out.

If the customer is telling you to cancel it means they weren’t going to take the ride and they wanted you to cancel. No need to hide. Can sit right in their driveway if you want.

Yeah but for some reason the passengers feel like if the driver cancels they don't get charged. If he was under that assumption he could be very angry he was charged such a fee and angrily approach the driver as he's sitting there waiting out the timer. It's an unnecessary situation for a driver to put themselves in. Just my opinion

my location parked, no way he could get near me without me seing him coming, that's what was so cool about it.

Use Cancel at the rider's request as your cancellation reason and enjoy the increased cancellation fee for a reserved trip. I probably shouldn't tell anybody about this but I used to sit over by a cluster of Hotels near the airport and accept the pings from reserved trips, cruise over to the hotel, alert the pax that I had arrived, to which they always replied that their trip was scheduled for 20-30 minutes from now and I would text them back to reorder when ready. Then I'd cancel at the rider's request and go back to my parking spot. Once in a while they'd be toes to the curb, but not very often.

Unless he had an invisibility suit on invisibility cloak, there was no way he was getting within a hundred feet of my car without me seeing him, I have front back and side view cameras around my car I have almost the same view as inside the Tesla,

There is a brick wall between me and his house (trailer) and the entry the entry is 100 feet front of me and the other entry is around the corner and there's no way to get out the back he had to approach me from the front.

The easy reply to being told to cancel the trip is to tell them that if you cancel then Uber will send another driver.
