Anyone here got a mechanic they recommend for a transmission fluid change? I tried to change it myself but it looks like Honda took out the dipstick and made it a sealed unit. I could be wrong, will be checking my engine bay again later. If not, anyone recommend a place other than the stealership. I could be paranoid but my car ran fine and then I took it to a dealer once for an inspection and next thing you know I started having brake problems

Transmission fluid change is probably the only thing I would do at the dealership. Just saying... I say this for newer cars of course... 2017+ it's robbery but I would check all dealerships reviews and just get it done there. All other stuff I do at my mechanic. I don't know bout Hondas but many cars use cvt now so it's gotta be done right.

Its not hard to do but if ur doing a transmission "flush" along with change then that's a different story.

What's the mileage on your car right now? I could be wrong but I don't think you need to touch your transmission oil until 70k+
When I was shopping for a CPO Accord, I noticed that they would change the brake pads, resurface the rotors and replace tires and battery on most of the cars with more than 25k miles but didn't see them changing transmission oil at all.

Its literally drain and fill. Easier than an oil change
the dipstick isn't visible for the 10th gen accord otherwise I'd do it myself. I'll jack my car up and check again today.

Honda has a maintenance minder and the code for the transmission fluid came up. I'm at 52k miles atm. I was supposed to change it at 25k since it's cvt but my transmission has been smooth since I got it. It still is but now that the code came up, I'm playing it safe

After a tedious amount of searching, I managed to find the transmission fluid dipstick. About to save myself some money and continue knowing I'm adhering to the proper specs!

Hey my 2016 toyota camry is jerking between 2 and 3. Never changed transmission oil. Currentley had 110,000 miles. It doesn't state changing transmission oil in the maintenance guide. Any recomendations?
you can have them do a drain and fill but at 110k since it's just a jerk, changing the transmission fluid might actually do more damage than good. How much longer are you realistically expecting to use the car

There is no dipstick but there is a fill hole on top of the transmission.

163k in 3 years and NEVER changed transmission oil.
72k miles on my accord hybrid. Never changed any fluids other then engine oil. Maintenance minders never came up. I don't know if I need to change transmission fluid. @unitxero what would you say about it? Do hybrids require it? Have you ever changed it?

false, @Lenny_yellow_cab has an accord over 100k miles without any transmission fluid changes
My 2014 Accord is over 215k miles. I did 4 transmission fluid flush. I never went over 4k RPM. When i drive RPM never goes over 2500. My engine and transmission is rock solid ? but everything else is rotten away as I'm a former yellow driver. I drive my car a lot not idle in places. So the car is pretty much done. I bought a 2013 used 80k Accord sports for $8200 gonna replace it with this. This X job u don't need a new car as long u know how to drive a car normally it will last long time.
