What is it with this double - quick - time phenomenon? Often happens at start of shift....other counters become unreliable and off by ~1 hour too

Dunno yet about the 14hr timeout being affected or not...but this is kinda unsettling during guarantees. And besides keeps you from tracking semi-reliably if your 50 minutes are in or not

Attached pictures are AN HOUR AND A FEW MINUTES into the next, doing the 50 mins per for guarantees...

I only got half of the bar for the last hour of Sunday though I stayed online for the full hour.
It didn't affect anything as I had no trip in that hour. But will they pay me the guarantee if I had one?
I will have to go back and check, but I have this UNPLEASANT suspicion that most if not all hours I had this happen to me, I missed the next hour pinglessly

Sometimes I'd blame it on the obnoxious low-level microsurgery... But often I also found myself inundated with pings and properly timed if I just fiddled with the cell mount, reset phone, or just literally moved 2-3 parking spaces over

No it's not someone stealing a march on me by a couple yards, checked that

I got this notion that Lyft pings (sends us customers) based on ping (IT speak) latency more so than distance... And that's why you might get blasted with all sorts of pings from all over in a "good" spot, and will get pings but local only and not too often in a crappier spot

...and nope, this isn't about not getting 4G/LTE or internet at all,but about having a slow response time to the tower etc

BTW when this happens, screen flashes occasionally - hard to tell if it's a ping that wanted to get sent but missed its handshake and got handed over the o the next guy, or an obnoxiously slow map update....

Give the next guy going anywhere further than the grocery store during guarantees a minfare ride to compensate

If he wants to tip you, tell him presents and/or presidents make your day, semi-anonymous in-apl figures not somuch....eslrcily during rush hours, when they count against subsidized hourly minimums
