soo I've been doing more Lyft driving than Uber in the past month bc out of nowhere Lyft has been crazy busy.. and at least once a day I'm showing up to a trip and I call the person to let them know I'm outside and either they are already in another Lyft car OR there is another Lyft car there waiting for them also. So is Lyft sending 2 drivers to 1 ride like wtf is going on here and is this happening to anyone else??

No, but if it's a crowded venue another car may be there that she thinks is hers. Or they sent one, they contacted her, either she or the driver canceled but the driver is mixed up and still trying to find her.

Most likely, it's an airhead pax, not a system problem.

We had the "Lyft exploding out of nowhere" phenomenon a few weeks ago. They were running lots of promotions and went nuts for about 3 weeks. I actually made more with Lyft than Uber one week, and was very close the second week. Now things are back to normal -- roughly 5:1 Uber to Lyft.

It could be the original driver missed the fact that the ping was rerouted to you. Google Maps doesnt cancel navigation when the rider cancels or the ping was rerouted.
That def could make sense is some of the instances. But in a few of them I got there watched the 5 min timer. Called the lady and she told me Lyft had already picked her up and she was en route to her destination. Kinda annoying but at least I still got that cancelation fee lol

"Airhead Pax" lmao there's too many of them out there.

And Lyft has been exploding since the whole Trump and Uber fiasco happened. And legit hasn't slowed down. I'm not complaining I like driving Lyft better than Uber, and don't care about the policatial views on it I'm just going to follow the money. But I'm not really feeling the new power driver bonus peak ride amounts now. Even though I hit the 10% today I feel like it was a mission

No, what happened was that you got pax-jacked, this only happens in airports as far as I know.

Uber/lyft drivers that want to make money faster often park on the pick up spots and start asking around for names and destinations, those who fall for the bait are told to enter his/her car and then told to cancel, the fare is cheaper and cash or done with a square reader.

Huh

I'm 5 Lyft: 1 Uber on average

And 20 Lyft to 1 Uber this week somehow

Yeah I've seen that happen in the airport. I wasn't in the airport though so it's kinda weird another Lyft driver would happen to be sitting in front of this lady's house lol pax jacked or not at least I made $5 off of it. Would have made less actually taking her where she needed to go considering it was like a mile away
