Can anyone please confirm for me that if you 1 * a pax you never get them again?

I have sent the same question to Uber but have not yet got a response.

Had my first scare with a male passenger today. Never, ever want him again.

Sorry to hear of your experience. There are some scum out there. Please be extra careful.

Uber advised me that I will not be matched again once. However for your own peace of mind, its probably best to wait for their confirmation. That said, they change things without prior notification, so you really have little assurance - especially as it is quite easy for passengers to create a new account.

I hope you logged a complaint about the passenger and marked it with the "passenger made me feel unsafe".

Be safe.

Report him !!
Use strong heading in report
You will get a reply and won't be matched with him again.
Sorry you experienced this and well done in handling him .

I think I am going to drop into a hub tomorrow and hopefully I will get someone who is helpful. It is hard to articulate in a written report how you feel when something like this happens. Keeping in mind these type of things are a rarity. It was first job of the day and I deliberately made myself continue working as a reminder that there are more good people than bad out there.

At this point in time I have lodged nothing. In fact because he wasn't getting out of my car I had to 5 * him whilst he watched. I want to make sure I get it right so I don't get him again and am not sure how to go about it.
You could have 1* that rider in front of him, making sure that he saw it to show that Uber drivers are brave enough to reject his poor behavior. That is how every driver should do to educate the riders.

From my experiences, less than 1% of the riders deserve 1*. Then i wonder why drivers are so afraid to upset these "less than 1%" riders, they are unable to hurt your average rating.

I have 1* pax before and requested that I never be paired with that pax again. I also gave a detailed explanation of my reasoning why, and uber responded a day later saying that they would never pair us again... Uber also said that they were going to note all onto the pax's account for future reference...
I'd carry some mace or cap spray if I was a female...
Good luck with everything...

I can assure you that once a PAX has a note on their app regarding their behaviour if it happens again they will be removed from Uber. I know this as I have had numerous PAX acquaintances tell me that they are banned.

This sentence pretty much sums up the Modus Operandus of the Help Desk !

I've given 1 star to a few, but I always request not to be paired with the offender again when I document the event.

You need to do this especially if you work in a smallish regional area where the population is less dense, and the members of the population are more dense ! In the big smoke your chances are slimmer than in a smallish town where you might bump into them in one of the 3 supermarkets, or 2 pubs .
