THe high turn over really has to start hurting them at some point. Think of all the administrative stuff that has to be handled. I suppose it's mostly automated but you'd think that every driver generates a mountain of records that have to be maintained. And the liability cost of using a new untested driver is much bigger than if you could be using seasoned drivers with proven records. The financial benefit of having a proven good driver record and I'm not talking about ratings but incidents that cause insurance claims, should be a bargaining point for drivers for something like uber reducing it's cut.

It takes luck and patience in figuring out how to make over $20 an hour consistently. Most people have neither for this kind of BS.

Driving will only be profitable for those that can make it a full time deal. I scored a $40 ride today after being online for 5 minutes but after that nothing while I made my way back to base so I can see which way the wind is blowing and log off and do some grocery shopping since I'm already on the road. I doubt I'll log back in today because why waste my time. If you have a wide open schedule you can do these hit and runs all week and not be sitting around in your car waiting.
