I used to smoke, so I know what it’s like. But: When you take that last drag as you’re opening my car door, the smoke gets inside my car and I get downgraded by the next passenger for that. I will in turn down rate you for that. Please don’t ask if you can smoke or Vape in the car. The answer...

Wow, I didn't know so many people still smoked until I was at the LAX holding area... I figure in 2018 you should be vaping, as it's healthier. At one point, this Filipino dude comes up to me with his cigarette in hand to talk to me while blowing smoke in my face (I don't smoke). The thing is...

[I'm making this a separate post after telling this story on an unrelated thread.] On Saturday I drove away from 6 ethnically diverse smokers, and today 1:00 a.m. I got Deactivated for a Denial of Service complaint. This morning when I awoke I saw the message and knew immediately which request...

Picked up in Montclair this morning going to East Orange. Female passenger gets in the car, slams the door and has ear buds in. Not even a minute after I start the trip, she starts smoking. I tell her no smoking but she doesn't hear me. I pull the car to the side of the road and turn around. She...

What do you do if a passenger wants to break Uber policy or the law. For example, bring open alcoholic beverages or fit more people in the car than you have seatbelts or smoke cigarettes on the way?

Will Uber ever update their rider app so riders can request a non-smoking car (and vice-versa)? I was shocked to see other Uber drivers sitting and smoking in their cars while waiting at the airport! As a non-smoker, I would NOT want to have to pay good money to have to ride in a smoker's...

I had a rider today who threw his cigarette on the ground before getting into my car. Honestly, I witness this behaviour by riders at least once a week and it's starting to bother me. How hard is it to wait until you find a bin? Are these people ignorant and uneducated or just selfish human...

Pax gets in and as soon as we get on the freewaay lit up a cigarette in my car. I asked him to put it out but he said it was his right as an american citizen to smoke wherever he wants to, so i told him not in my car. He then stubbrd his cigarette out on the car seat causing several burn holes...

I had a rider that told me that they dismissed the driver previous to me because his car smelled like an ashtray! How stupid can you be? Just because you have that nasty little habit doesn't mean that others wanna smell that crap!

I had a serious stink problem in my car for weeks after picking up a passenger who was smoking as I pulled up. So, I have started just either driving off, canceling or sometimes informing them why I am refusing their ride. Has anyone else adopted this policy?
