I just got a small service dog (13lb Mini Pin), who alerts me of medical conditions. She is properly car trained to be quiet, calm, and stay seated/laying, you wouldn't even notice she's in the car unless you are told so. She sits in the front seat in a soft open topped pet car seat/cube that...

Okay, so I realize I might sound like a jerk on this, but service dogs are a giant pain in the rear. Yesterday I picked up a blind lady, along with her boyfriend and her dog. What annoys me is that the dog gets in the car and makes a total mess. No apology or acknowledgement or tip when they...

This is an excellent document that covers concerns regarding Taxis, Limos, Public transportation and Service Dogs. Every driver would do well to read this over, it is the best I have ever seen regarding this subject. http://www.ada.gov/service_animals_2010.htm
