    Is proximity the deciding factor for Uber & Lyft? I’ve seen people leave a club, seemingly order a car wait 5 mins to have an Uber or Lyft driver to show up. All while I was on both platforms.

    I'm in LA with thousands of drivers its busy and I get a call 12 minutes away or 9 minutes away etc., so what is the algorithym doing? What's the decision making process of which drivers get which calls when it's obvious I'm not the closest avail driver?
