Red Lights

Lately I see Uber drivers speeding through red lights at major intersections in DC.
It doesn't look like they were trying to run a Yellow.
It looks like they were ****ing around with the app or texting something,
and just went right through at full blast. Not even close -- like 5 seconds late!

All over the place at night, on roads such as 14th Street.

(They also run STOP signs all over the place on the smaller roads.)

This has gotten MUCH WORSE in the last month than I have ever seen it.

Agree. Uber needs some quality controls with all the new drivers.. of course that will NEVER happen. They are just running this ship into the ground. My earnings are down 60% since January. They continue to drop boost and pump more drivers onto the roads. Ugh.

BONG!!!

Tonight around 2:15 AM watched this Uber drive from I all the way up 15th to Florida Ave and run every red light!
He didn't slow down in the least.
(I was perfectly timed and was green the whole way behind him.)
Dropped my tired pax over near Mt Pleasant.

Later around 3 AM followed an Uber from U Street all the way to Reagan.
He was driving like a maniac, speeding up to each red light where I would catch up with him.
It looked like his beat up Corolla had a tablet-sized device mounted on the console.
Assuming that was his phone, the app wasn't even turned on.
At the airport, he somehow came in right behind me (and thus hard to see him while merging).
Anyway, he went to the TNC lot (while I proceeded to pick up my 2.0 surge pax to Maryland...yay!)
At no time from U Street to the airport lot were his headlights on.

Where do they get these people?

It has been happening for quite some time, ya' jess' ain't seen it until now. The worst offenders are Uber SUV drivers in their Yukons, Escalades and Suburbans. Those guys are the worst. I have had them ask me to let them in front of me in traffic. Most times, I will let in one person, BUT NOT ONE OF THEM. I am not about to let someone in front of me who is guaranteed to do something stupid. I even tell them "Not for you".
